Anchorage Grace is dedicated to equipping the church for the work of the ministry (Eph 4:12). We are convinced that it is only through the ministry of God’s Word working in the hearts and lives of believers that the body will grow and mature into Christ-likeness (John 17:17; Acts 20:32; Eph 5:26; 1 Thess 2:13; 1 Pet 2:2). For this reason, we are pleased to offer a variety of classes aimed at equipping adult believers to grow biblically, mature spiritually, connect corporately, and serve faithfully.

The Old Testament was the Bible of Jesus and the early disciples. In it, the doctrines of God, man, sin, Christ, redemption, future things, and the promised kingdom of God find their biblical foundations. This class provides an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of that portion of Scripture which believers too often ignore and neglect in their personal study. Through a lecture-based approach, the class is currently exploring each Old Testament book with a focus on each book’s themes, purpose, structure, and how it connects with the broad macro-themes of the Old Testament and God’s redemptive plan for the ages. Ephesians 5 & 6 reveal God’s clear truths for every believer as we strive to grow in Christ-likeness in our homes. This class combines biblical teaching, practical application, and real life experiences in order to refresh, encourage, and challenge husbands, wives, fathers, and mothers, to more closely model Christ to their spouses and children.

Titus 2 encourages women to teach other women to love their families well, and this has been the mission of our women’s equipping class. This team-led Women’s class studies inductively through a book of the Bible, as well as spends ample time praying for each other, our church body, and our missionaries.

This class will resume September 10, 2017.
